Experiencing the Territory to Tell Its Story: The Borgo dei Conti Resort team meets Umbrian artisans

To truly know a territory means meeting the people who care for it every day. For this reason, we believe that the experiences we propose to the guests of THE hotel collection should not remain just a story to be told, but something that can also be experienced firsthand by those who welcome and accompany them during their stay.

Last week we therefore accompanied the concierge team of Borgo dei Conti Resort to discover some of the Umbrian artisanal workshops that are part of the Foundation’s network. It was a day spent entering ateliers, listening to family stories and observing up close gestures and techniques that have been passed down through generations.

From Deruta, in the workshop of Ceramiche Artistiche Gialletti, to the historic Studio Moretti Caselli in Perugia, where Maddalena Forenza shared with us the long family tradition of glass painting. In the afternoon we visited Atelier Giuditta Brozzetti with Marta Cucchia, among looms and stories that weave together past and present, where we also met the women supported by the Foundation through the Passaggio del Saper Fare project.

The day continued at A. Gallo Colors, dedicated to the artisanal production of watercolor pigments, and concluded in the workshop of bookbinder Riccardo Steri.

Experiences like these allow our team to truly know the places and people who are part of our network. Because only by coming into direct contact with these stories is it possible to convey their value to those who wish to discover a territory through its traditional crafts.
