In September Venice celebrates craftsmanship with Homo Faber and The Venice Glass Week

In this context, The Place of Wonders presents a programme of exhibitions, installations and encounters dedicated to the future of Venetian craftsmanship and to the new generations who have chosen to learn and carry forward these traditions.
 
Soffi di Meraviglia – The Future of Murano Glass in the Hands of a New Generation

An exhibition dedicated to the creations of the students taking part in the 2026 training programme focused on the making and use of Venetian glass beads, presented alongside works by their master artisans, Alessia Fuga and Marisa Convento.
A dialogue between tradition, training and new contemporary expressions.

RE-Blooming in the Lagoon with Holly Parr

On the occasion of the presentation of Soffi di Meraviglia, Holly Parr will lead a demonstration dedicated to the ancient Venetian art of bead stringing, together with the students of the 2026 training programme.
The flowers created during the event will contribute to the collective artwork RE-Blooming in the Lagoon, inspired by the flora of the Venetian salt marshes.

A photographic project by Mattia Gaido dedicated to the people and gestures that preserve the Art of Venetian Glass Beads.
Among those featured are the young students supported by The Place of Wonders throughout their training.
On Friday, 18 September from 5.00 pm, a public event will present the project through the voices of the artisans, the photographer and the Foundation.
