Passaggio del Saper Fare: The Second Year of the Umbria Programme

In 2026, The Place of Wonders Foundation renews its commitment in Umbria with the second year of Passaggio del Saper Fare, the project developed within the Atelier Giuditta Brozzetti in Perugia and co-funded by IC Bellagio, a partner with whom the Foundation shares a common vision for the enhancement of Italian heritage, rooted in the meeting of culture, place and responsibility. 

A historic workshop-museum dedicated to Umbrian weaving, Atelier Giuditta Brozzetti is one of the last places in Italy where handweaving on antique looms is still practiced and passed on. Here, Aurelie, Sophie, Alessia and Lisette continue their training journey under the guidance of fourth-generation master artisan Marta Cucchia. 

Alongside their work at the loom, the second year introduces additional modules dedicated to textile restoration and the maintenance of antique looms, essential skills for preserving and carrying this craft forward. 

The project thus strengthens a shared mission with IC Bellagio, an Italian company specializing in tailor-made travel experiences and committed to the authentic discovery of territories, local communities and the knowledge that makes them unique.
